RITA-expertise UZ Leuven

  • The divisions of paediatric and adult rheumatology, Internal medicine (systemic vasculitis and autoinflammatory diseases), and the divisions of paediatric and adult primary immune deficiency form a tertiary referral expert centre for RITA disorders.
  • UZ Leuven offers diagnostic and therapeutic advice for patients with a spectrum of rare and complex rheumatic, autoimmune, autoinflammatory and immune deficiency conditions. The RITA group ensures multidisciplinary patient care and collaboration with a wide spectrum of medical (both pediatric and adult) specialities both within University Hospital as within the large regional network of affiliated hospitals. The multidisciplinary care team comprises specialist pediatric and adult rheumatologists, vasculitis, autoimmune, autoinflammatory and Immune deficiency experts as well as specialist nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers and transition (pediatric to adult) coordinators.
  • The multidisciplinary RITA team members are involved in specific dedicated clinics for Immune deficiency, Autoinflammatory and Autoimmune diseases.

  • The divisions of paediatric and adult rheumatology and immunology, the divisions of paediatric and adult neurology and the divisions of paediatric and adult primary immune deficiency form a tertiary referral expert centre for RITA disorders.
  • UZ Antwerpen offers diagnostic and therapeutic advice for patients with a spectrum of rare and complex adult and paediatric autoimmune systemic vasculitis, adult and paediatric neuroinflammatory, adult and paediatric autoinflammatory, adult and paediatric immune deficiency and paediatric rheumatic conditions.
  • The RITA group ensures multidisciplinary patient care and collaboration with a wide spectrum of medical (both pediatric and adult) disciplines both within the Antwerp University Hospital as within the large regional network of affiliated hospitals. The multidisciplinary care team comprises (but is not limited to) specialist pediatric and adult rheumatologists, immunologists, neurologists, pneumologists, gastro—enterologists, nephrologists, cardiologists, dermatologists, orthopedicians, ophtalmologists, hematologists, as well as specialized geneticists (including access to specialized exome/genome sequencing and interrogation), radiologists and clinical biologists. Supportive care is guaranteed via specialist nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists and social workers.
